Terms of use

Last updated 7 November 2026.

These terms cover your use of Sudoku·AD at sudoku.ad and its iOS and Android apps. By using it you agree to them. Questions: support@sudoku.ad.

A free service

Sudoku·AD is free to use. There are no purchases, subscriptions or ads. We may change, add or remove features, and we may suspend the service, at any time.

Your account

Keep your password and recovery code safe — without an email address on file, the recovery code is the only way back in. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Usernames must not impersonate anyone or be offensive. You can delete your account at any time (see the privacy policy).

Your content

You keep the rights to the puzzles you set, and to your comments, profile and other content you post. By publishing or posting it on Sudoku·AD you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce and distribute it as part of the service (for example in the library, on puzzle pages, in share links and previews), and to make the technical changes needed to do that. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other people have already made through normal use, such as a share link they saved. You confirm that you have the right to post what you post.

Acceptable use

Don’t post anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else’s rights; don’t post spoilers outside spoiler tags; don’t spam. Don’t interfere with the service: no attacking or overloading it, scraping it at scale, getting around rate limits or access controls, or falsifying solves, times or leaderboard entries. We may remove content and suspend or delete accounts that break these rules.

Puzzles by other setters

Many puzzles in the library were created by independent setters. They remain the property of their setters and are shown with their setter’s name and, where they were first published elsewhere, a link to the original. A puzzle comes down if its setter asks. If you are a setter and want a puzzle credited differently or taken down, email support@sudoku.ad (or use the setter page) and we will act on it promptly. The same applies to anyone who believes content here infringes their rights.

Our content

The Sudoku·AD software, design, lessons and generated puzzles belong to us. You may play, print and share them for personal, non-commercial use.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that progress, rankings or content will never be lost. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your use of a free service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it. For anything about these terms, contact support@sudoku.ad.
